The area that is effected - the joint that connects the lower jaw to the skull—may also become painful, and perhaps even prohibit you from closing and opening your mouth properly. Dental discomfort, severe jaw pain, headaches, migraines, toothaches, earaches and tenderness around your jaw joint areas are all symptoms of TMJ.
